Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (account registration details, farm information, content), information generated by your use of the Service (analytics events, login activity), and technical information (IP address, browser type, device type).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to operate and improve the Service, process payments, send transactional emails (account verification, password resets), provide customer support, and detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service (hosting, payment processing via Stripe, email delivery) and as required by law.

4. Analytics

Farm To Net uses a privacy-preserving, self-hosted analytics system. Page-view data is stored as anonymized session hashes that rotate daily. No personal identifiers or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

5. Cookies and Sessions

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies are HTTP-only and expire when you close your browser (or after the session timeout). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

When you close your account, it is scheduled for deletion and permanently removed 30 days later. You can cancel at any point during those 30 days, and your website stays online until the deletion happens.

One exception, because tax rules require it: orders that were paid for are kept as financial records. The customer's name, email address, phone number and delivery address are erased from them, leaving the order number, date and amounts. Everything else — your pages, products, photos, customer list, newsletter subscribers and site statistics — is deleted.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data.

If you run a farm on Farm To Net: Settings → Your data in your admin area will download everything in your account as a single file, and close your account.

If you bought from a farm: sign in to that farm's website and open Your account → Your data. You can download everything that farm holds about you, and erase yourself from it. Each farm is separate — erasing yourself at one farm does not affect your record at another, so do it at each farm you have bought from. Erasure happens straight away rather than after a waiting period. One thing stops it: if you have a CSA share that is still running or paused, cancel the share first — the farm is part-way through delivering it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, bcrypt/Argon2 password hashing, CSRF protection, and rate limiting. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
