The five things to fill in first, and why each one matters.
You can have a working site in about twenty minutes. Do these five things first — everything else can wait.
1. Your farm details
Go to Settings and fill in your farm name, address, phone and email. This information feeds your contact page, your map, your emails and what Google shows when someone searches for you, so it is worth getting right once.
2. Your logo and colours
Under Themes, upload your logo and pick your colours. If you do not have a logo yet, skip it — your farm name in a nice typeface looks better than a rushed logo.
3. Your opening hours
Still in Settings. If your hours change seasonally, put the current ones in and update them when they change. Wrong hours cost you more customers than no hours.
4. A few products
Go to Products and add three or four. You do not need your whole catalogue on day one. A photo, a price and one honest sentence beats a long description.
5. Publish your home page
Under Pages, open your home page, check it reads the way you want, and tick Published. You are live.
Everything after this — CSA plans, delivery zones, your story — is worth doing well rather than quickly.
